I decided to go ahead and take Bryson in to the pediatrician yesterday morning for his cough and stuffy/runny nose. His nose was making it hard for him to fall asleep with his pacifier in so he was having trouble sleeping for two nights. Dr. Froman said he looked and sounded great other than the slight fever and stuffy nose. The best news is: She still didn't hear the murmur and he had gained almost a POUND in about a week!! He now weighs 9lb. 12oz.!
Here are Bryson's 2 month pictures. Thank you for the continued prayers on Bryson's behalf, we know our Father is listening.

Smilin' and Cooing
Bryson has been smiling and cooing! He kicks his feet and uses every muscle in his body to get a "'coo" out. It is so fun seeing his little personality shine through. He has been really smiling the past few weeks. When he's not smiling and "cooing", he is whining to be held. I think this little boy is spoiled! :) I guess we wouldn't have it any other way.
Since Bryson is gaining weight, we only have to take him for weight checks every two weeks instead of every week! I got on the scale with B this morning and our scale said he weighs 9lb. 5oz.!! I know our scales aren't as accurate as the pediatrician's but I will be anxious to see what their scale says when we go back next week.
Here are a few pictures of our little man as well as the girls at their recent graduation from Thursday School . Chaney and Rylee both were such big girls and sang their little hearts out on stage. (You should see the video, so cute!)
p.s. Thank you to all those at church who have provided meals for our family the past few weeks. We are so blessed to have Christian family like you! Please know how much each and every one of you mean to us.

Terrific Tuesday
We took Bryson to our local pediatrician Tuesday and he weighs...drumroll... 8lb. 13oz.!!!!!! We are so excited! He's finally starting to gain. This is definitely an answer to our prayers.
When Dr. Froman listened to his heart, she said that she couldn't hear the murmur anymore! That doesn't mean for sure the VSD's have completely closed, but she could hear them 2 weeks ago and could not yesterday. She said she would be anxious for the cardiologist to do an echo to see if the holes had closed. This is great news!
We pray for Bryson to continue to make progress.

Check up
We took B to Little Rock Thursday and got a good report. He would have got a GREAT report, except he had lost 3 ounces. Bryson's cardiologist said there is differences in scales and not to panic. B had weighed 8lb. 7oz. last Friday according to our pediatrician's scales and 8lb. 4oz. on Children's scales. :( I told the dr. I would have bet 2 million dollars that he had gained! He is keeping all of his food down and finishing most all of his bottles, so the doctor said I should start nursing him several times a day again.
Dr. B said Bryson's heart is strong and to treat him like a healthy newborn. His holes are small and may not even be playing a part in the weight department. Some newborns just have a harder time putting on weight.
They sent B home on a holter monitor that monitors his heart rate. It's a 24 hour home study and we will send it back to Children's via UPS. They are wanting to make sure B's medications are at the right dosages and that he is not having any episodes. The nurse taught me how to count his heartbeats using a stethoscope. It's really kind of hard to count, but I am glad I know how.
We will go for another clinic visit to Little Rock in 2 months and then if he still looks good at that apt., they will space it out a little further. Hopefully by that time, we can go to the Children's clinic in Lowell and not have to drive all that way!
Greg had to work Thursday so I am so thankful my mom got to go with Bryson and I. My dad took the girls to Thursday school and my sister took them that afternoon. Thanks to all of you for helping us juggle. We couldn't do it without you. :)
