A little more news

We talked with the doctors and they are really positive about B's progress. He has finally seen a decrease in his direct bilirubin along with the indirect. This was the only reason for talking about another abdominal ultrasound. Now we are just tracking the tests to see if it will continue to drop over the next few days. His oxygen is down to 21% which is actually atmospheric air. They will monitor his gases and pulse ox to see if we can get off of the help. They don't want to do it to fast since he failed one time prior when it was removed. They are removing one of the tubes into his stomach right now and will pull the other back a little to start feeding him into his stomach every few hours. This is just a step to get him off continuous feed and more on schedule like he will be on once everything is removed. Hooray!!!!

  1. This is so GREAT!!! Once he started doing better, it just keeps going up and up every day! Prayer does work, and I'm so glad little B is doing so well. You know I have to come see him one more time before you go home! I'll call you one day next week. We are leaving Thursday to go to Texas, but we will be back Sunday. Maybe Monday or Tuesday! Keep the good news coming and we will keep the prayers coming!!!

  2. Every day gets better!! I'm sure he is going to get stronger with each passing day. My prayers are with all of you and I know that B has his own guardian angel in his Uncle Mike and he will continue to watch over him.
    I love you, Aunt Gail
